A Poem by Dr. Karen B. Thompson 1991
Imprisoned is the mind that searches not,
encompassing preconceived prejudices and opinions.
Above and beyond it is intangibly sought
never to be totally reached but ever a continuation.
The door it is locked, I seek the key
there is fear, despair and anger yes!
It ah it evades and ever eludes me
life’s answer to man’s struggle for peace at best!
Perhaps look within and not without
each contains the message so simple!
I know and feel it’s presence about,
it is enclosed awaiting within our temple!
